A fire broke out in the cargo storage area of San Francisco International Airport on the afternoon of April 3, local time. The fire was quickly brought under control, and airport operations were not affected.
At approximately 2:15 p.m. that day, the San Francisco Fire Department and the San Mateo County Fire Department responded to the scene. A spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department stated that five shipping containers were affected by the fire, but no one was injured, and there was no threat to public safety.
