Civil Aviation Resources Network, June 27, 2024: According to Hong Kong media reports, on June 26, local time, a Cathay Pacific flight to Hong Kong was suspected of mechanical failure shortly after takeoff, and the flight returned to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport urgently.

 

It is reported that the passenger plane involved is a Boeing 777-300ER passenger plane. Cathay Pacific said that on June 26, local time, the CX260 flight from Paris to Hong Kong was suspected of mechanical failure during the flight, so it returned to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport according to the established procedures. The flight has landed safely and returned to the parking position for inspection. No crew members or passengers were injured in the incident. Maintenance personnel are currently inspecting the passenger plane.
