Civil Aviation Resources Network, June 27, 2024: According to Simpleflying, Mexicana has confirmed an order for 20 Embraer E2 jets, including 10 E190-E2 and 10 E195-E2 jets, which will be delivered in the second quarter of 2025, making it the first airline in Mexico to operate such aircraft.
Mexicana's success and rapid growth since resuming operations in December 2023 have been remarkable. The airline currently operates flights to 18 destinations and has transported more than 115,000 passengers in a short period of time, with a total flight time of 3,280 hours.
