On June 6, 2026, Civil Aviation Resource Network reported that Angola Airlines plans to officially launch a direct flight route between Luanda, the capital of Angola, and Guangzhou on June 23. This is Angola Airlines' first route connecting to mainland China and will become the only direct flight between China and Angola.
The route will be operated by Boeing 787-9 aircraft, initially with one flight per week, later planned to increase to three flights per week. Tickets are currently on sale online.
