Airport Authority Hong Kong and COMAC collaborate to support C919 aircraft operations in Hong Kong and global promotion

On October 31, the Airport Authority Hong Kong signed a memorandum of cooperation with COMAC Shanghai Aircraft Customer Service Co., Ltd. to jointly promote the operation of the C919 aircraft independently developed by the country at the Hong Kong International Airport and its promotion to the global market.
Under the framework of the memorandum of cooperation, the Airport Authority and COMAC Customer Service will work together to promote the C919 aircraft to operate international routes at the Hong Kong International Airport; increase training and exchanges on aircraft operation and maintenance; enhance research on standards and policies for aircraft operations at the Hong Kong International Airport and related airport facilities; and strengthen professional consulting work on aviation-related services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
In December 2023, the C919 aircraft and ARJ21 aircraft were displayed outside the Mainland for the first time at the Hong Kong International Airport. On June 1, 2024, the C919 aircraft landed at the Hong Kong International Airport, marking the first commercial flight outside the Mainland.
