With the increasing number of mainland tourists, Cathay Pacific hopes to attract more outstanding mainland talents. It is estimated that by 2025, the total number of mainland talents will reach about 4,000, including trainee pilots, flight attendants, information technology personnel, customer service personnel, logistics personnel, etc.

Lin Shaobo continued to point out that this year, Cathay Pacific launched the "Trainee Pilot Program" in the Mainland for the first time, accepting applications from Mainland residents and adding talents to the industry; Cathay Pacific will also recruit ground staff from the Mainland through the "Greater Bay Area Labor Importation Program" of the SAR government personnel to work in Hong Kong.
He also said that it is estimated that by 2025, the total number of Cathay Pacific flight attendants from the Mainland will expand to 1,000 to 2,000, and the Cathay Pacific flight attendant team will form the largest proportion of Hong Kong employees, the second largest proportion of Mainland employees, and the largest proportion of employees from other Asian countries and regions. Compared with the third personnel structure, a diverse, enthusiastic and world-class service team is formed.
On that day, more than 100 applicants who had passed the preliminary selection came to interview. There will be sessions such as "touching and language tests", "group discussions" and "one-to-one interviews".
It is understood that after passing the interview, the flight attendants with mainland nationality will receive training in Hong Kong and use Hong Kong as their work base, and their remuneration and benefits are the same as those of other employees. Provided that the commuting time between the place of residence and the Hong Kong International Airport is less than 90 minutes, the flight attendants with mainland nationality can choose to live in any city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area; if they choose to live in Hong Kong, the company will provide certain subsidies.
