Emirates has busiest summer season ever
Emirates has had one of its busiest summer seasons ever this summer. From June to August this year, Emirates carried more than 14 million passengers on its global route network, with an average occupancy rate of over 80%.
Looking ahead to the months ahead, Emirates booking trends point to continued strong demand for international travel. During the summer travel season, two million passengers traveled to Dubai to enjoy its year-round attractions and activities. Despite this, Dubai, as one of the world's most popular travel destinations, is still very popular in travel. During this period, the markets with the highest number of arrivals to Dubai on Emirates were: UK, India, Germany, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, China, Egypt and Kuwait. Families make up 35% of Emirates visitors to Dubai, staying an average of more than two weeks to experience the city's top sights and attractions.
This winter, Dubai will host a series of large-scale international conferences and world-class sports events. Emirates expects that the number of passengers visiting Dubai will continue to be strong. In the six months of the first half of 2023, Dubai welcomed more than 8.5 million international tourists, an increase of more than 1 million compared to the same period last year.
