Air travelers could face skyrocketing ticket prices as airlines begin cutting carbon emissions, Australia's 7news website reported.

At present, Virgin Australia has begun to mix traditional fuel and clean fuel to reduce carbon emissions. The airline's Seattle-to-Australia flight in June used fuel blended with 30 percent sustainable aviation fuel for the first time on the Seattle-Honolulu leg.
But Bennett admits that the cost of the 6-hour flight is also very high.
