Daxing Airport's "handle today for tomorrow's flight" approach-allowing passengers to check in and drop off baggage in advance-is becoming a popular new choice for travelers. Since the launch of the early check-in service for domestic flights, the airport has served over 600,000 passengers.
For a long time, domestic travelers were accustomed to the standard practice of checking in only on the day of their flight. Those with early morning departures often had to rise before dawn and rush to the airport, only to face queues for check-in and baggage drop-off-a constant race against the clock.
Daxing Airport pioneered a shift away from this traditional timing constraint by becoming the first in the country to offer early check-in for domestic flights. Passengers can now complete check-in, baggage drop-off, and security screening a day in advance, truly realizing the concept of "flying tomorrow, handling it today."
Since its launch, the service has enabled an average of around 500 passengers daily to travel at a relaxed pace. What was once a journey defined by a passive, frantic rush is now a seamless experience where travelers manage the entire process a day ahead, putting control firmly in their own hands and ensuring every departure is calm and pleasant rather than hurried or chaotic.
Daxing Airport has extended its early check-in service window-spanning from 8:00 AM on the day before the flight to 2:00 AM on the day of departure-to a continuous 18-hour period, accommodating travel needs around the clock.
Even better, the security screening process integrates seamlessly with this service, remaining open until 2:30 AM; this allows passengers to proceed directly through security to the boarding area after completing their early check-in. This means travelers can truly devote the time they would have otherwise spent queuing or waiting to themselves.
Notably, Daxing Airport offers a budget-friendly rest area with lie-flat options for overnight travelers, located near Gate A01 at the far end of Concourse A. This quiet, private space features windows offering views of the aircraft, allowing travelers to relax while watching the planes. A variety of options-such as folding cots and tents-cater to different preferences, and the area thoughtfully includes separate zones for men and women; travelers can easily place orders via the "Xing Xiansong" mini-program. Additionally, smart luggage lockers in the terminal provide a secure place for bags, enabling travelers to explore the airport unencumbered and worry-free.
