Korean Air 737-900 flew Korean Air Jeju to Seoul Gimpo Airport KE1118 flight on the same day. After landing at 32L, the aircraft directly crossed the adjacent parallel runway 32R-14L. At this time, BX8027 flight BX8027 operated by Air Busan A321 accelerated to take off at 32R. According to reports, the Korean Air passenger plane did not follow the instructions to wait at the E1 crossing. Fortunately, the Busan Air passenger plane had pulled up before arriving at E1, avoiding the accident.

 

Korean Air told multiple media: "The plane did stop after passing the waiting line about 70 meters from the runway, but it did not intrude on the takeoff runway." On the other hand, Air Busan said, "The aircraft of Korean Air "Crossed the runway with clearance," adding that "the captain's judgment prevented the accident."

 

 

The Korean Civil Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
