According to CCTV News, Delta Airlines of the United States said that on the morning of March 2, local time, a Delta flight to New Orleans was forced to return to Boston due to the detection of "smoke smell" in the cabin.
It is reported that the Airbus A220 aircraft carried 87 passengers, 3 flight attendants and 2 pilots, and finally returned safely to Boston Logan International Airport and was inspected by emergency rescue personnel on the ground in accordance with regulations.
This is the third similar incident involving Delta Airlines passenger planes in 10 days. Previously, on February 22, a Delta Airlines passenger plane carrying 162 passengers was on its way from Los Angeles to Sydney, Australia, and smoke was detected in the cabin and had to return to the airport. On February 24, another Delta flight from Atlanta, Georgia, USA to Columbia, South Carolina, also found smoke in the aircraft. The aircraft was forced to return to Atlanta Airport and landed safely, and the passengers on board were evacuated through the emergency slide.
