During the Spring Festival travel rush, the combined popularity of the closed-off area and its unique resource advantages made Hainan a popular destination for domestic and international tourists, resulting in a vibrant tourism consumption market. To ensure smooth entry into Hainan before the holiday and convenient departure afterward, under the guidance and support of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and Hainan Provincial Transportation authorities, Meilan Airport, in collaboration with airlines such as Air China, China Eastern Airlines, and Hainan Airlines, added 1,999 flights on popular routes to key cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, and Hangzhou. The airport also dynamically released information on available tickets and travel guidance for key source cities through WeChat official accounts, Xiaohongshu (Little Red Book), and various media platforms, providing accurate references for passengers planning their trips.
Regarding overseas markets, Southeast Asia performed particularly well. Benefiting from various visa-free policies, the number of inbound and outbound passengers from Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand, exceeded 100,000, representing a year-on-year increase of over 35%. On February 6th, Meilan Airport also launched its first fifth-freedom passenger route this year, "Frankfurt-Bangkok-Haikou," increasing the frequency of flights between Haikou and Bangkok to 16 per week, further promoting economic, trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between the Hainan Free Trade Port and Southeast Asia.

Meanwhile, Meilan Airport has launched a "Heartwarming Night Flight" service. On one hand, B10 (Hainan Airlines) and A13 (other airlines) in Terminal 2 have been designated as permanent check-in counters for international flights, open daily from 4 PM to 4 AM the following morning, allowing passengers on night flights to check in immediately. On the other hand, Meilan Airport has comprehensively expanded and upgraded the free overnight rest areas for passengers on the east and west sides of the fourth floor of the Terminal 2 departure hall: the number of seats has increased to 94, 20 charging seats have been added, toiletries and blankets are provided for a fee, and vending machines and power bank rental facilities have been added to the east side to further meet the rest needs of passengers taking early morning flights.
