At 8 am on July 12, with the smooth departure of Harbin-Niigata CZ615 flight, all international passenger flights originally operated at Harbin Airport Terminal 0 were transferred to Terminal 1. The brand-new check-in and waiting areas provide passengers with a more comfortable travel experience, laying the foundation for accelerating the construction of Harbin International Aviation Hub and building a new highland for my country's opening to the north.
Harbin Airport Terminal 1 was built in 1997. It has witnessed the development process of China's civil aviation rise and catch-up, and has contributed to the regional economic and social development. In view of the long service life, reduced safety factor, re-positioning of functions, and urgent need for process reconstruction, Heilongjiang Airport Group will implement the renovation and expansion project of Terminal 1 in 2021. The renovation and construction of 17,000 square meters in the domestic area was completed and put into use last year, and the 47,000 square meters of the international part was completed recently. After the renovation and expansion, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are integrated into one. International-domestic and domestic-international passenger transfers can be completed in the same terminal, solving the trouble of passengers traveling back and forth and forming a new service guarantee pattern of "dual terminals" of T1 and T2 standing side by side in a magnificent and efficient manner.
The international area of Terminal 1 has doubled its security capacity after the renovation. The international area of the terminal has 6 boarding bridges, 30 check-in counters, 11 departure customs, security inspection shared inspection channels, 22 border inspection entry and exit manual channels, 14 fast channels, etc. Through "one customs and two inspections", advance machine inspection, self-service border inspection and other means, passengers can go through customs more "smoothly". In order to ensure smooth connection and efficient operation, Harbin Airport has been based on actual combat before it was put into use, increased joint debugging and testing, carried out full-factor and full-process drills many times, and made practical preparations for manual revision, team training, equipment update, emergency support and other preparations.
The styles of Terminals T1 and T2 are consistent, the connection is natural, and the modern sense is full, and ice and snow are integrated into them. Walking into Terminal T1, the Longjiang elements of "Ice Flowers" are reflected everywhere, which is refreshing. In addition, a number of intelligent and smart systems have promoted the digital transformation of Harbin Airport. For example, the baggage tracking system can monitor the status of luggage in real time and improve the accuracy of luggage shipment. The entry and exit hall of the port border inspection is equipped with an intelligent manual verification table that integrates multi-language translation and diversified collection of biometric information. It can provide face-to-face translation services in 143 countries and regions and a total of more than 70 languages in real time and accurately, facilitating communication between on-duty police officers and passengers; for the first time, a low-station "special channel" is set up, equipped with highly adjustable inspection equipment to meet the customs clearance needs of special groups such as children and people with disabilities, and effectively improve the customs clearance experience of Chinese and foreign entry and exit personnel.
