On April 19th, CCTV news reporters learned from the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism that in the first quarter, Beijing received 469000 inbound tourists, a year-on-year increase of 3.1 times, recovering to 67.2% in 2019; Realized tourism foreign exchange revenue of 650 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 225.8%, recovering to 67.4% in 2019 (equivalent to RMB 4.67 billion, an increase of 240.0%, recovering to 71.9% in 2019).
1, The short-range market has recovered well. The recovery rate of tourists in the Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions is relatively fast, with a total of 95000 people, up from 80.1% in 2019. In terms of the proportion of tourists, Asian tourists (excluding Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) accounted for 44.1%, an increase of 7.2 percentage points from 2019. Southeast Asia has the best recovery of tourists, with the main source countries being Malaysia, Thailand, and Singapore.
