According to CCTV military reports, the 2024 drone industry development conference was held in Zigong, Sichuan on April 28. The independently developed Yilong-2 unmanned aerial vehicle by Aviation Industry Group has made its debut and successfully completed the first flight test of China's large fixed wing unmanned aerial vehicle for cargo logistics.
The Yilong-2 drone took off from Zigong Lantian Airport and conducted a regional logistics flight test mission across airspace. It flew from low altitude within 3000 meters to the target mission area, taking 15 minutes and possessing fast loading and unloading capabilities.
Previously, this Wing Dragon 2 drone had obtained the first national charter flight certificate for a 4-ton large fixed wing drone, which complies with the latest regulations and standards of civil aviation in China. It can safely carry out flight activities under the charter conditions, providing important airworthiness qualification support for the subsequent expansion of Wing Dragon drones in low altitude scenarios such as inter provincial and inter regional transportation, emergency rescue, and meteorological detection.
