Civil Aviation Resources Network, June 2, 2025: According to foreign media reports, Indian low-cost airline Indigo Airlines has confirmed to purchase 30 additional A350s from Airbus, bringing its total confirmed orders for A350s to 60. Indigo Airlines ordered 30 A350-900 aircraft from Airbus in April last year. The airline expects to receive the first A350 aircraft in 2027.

Indigo Airlines said: "This strategic move will further expand our global business layout, strengthen the long-haul international route network, and connect major Indian cities with more destinations around the world. Through this expansion, Indigo Airlines will provide passengers with more international travel options and increase the frequency of flights to the hub airports of partner airlines."

In 2023, Airbus and Indigo Airlines of India signed an order for 500 A320 series narrow-body aircraft, which is the largest single aircraft order in history. The order is expected to be delivered between 2030 and 2035.
