1. American Airlines to Invest $1 Billion to Expand Miami Airport Terminal D

According to Business Travel News, American Airlines announced on Wednesday that it will invest $1 billion to expand Terminal D at Miami International Airport. The project, named "Gate D60," will construct a new three-story expansion of Terminal D, adding 17 gates to accommodate larger aircraft and eliminate external check-in. Construction is expected to begin in 2027.

2. Qantas CEO Says Weak Demand on US Routes is a Short-Term Issue

According to Reuters, Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson said on Thursday that weak demand on the company's US routes is a short-term issue.
