On the morning of December 26, the opening ceremony for the new terminal building at Linyi International Airport was held in the departure hall of the new terminal. Starting at 00:00 on December 27, Terminal 2 of Linyi Airport will officially commence operations. All domestic flights arriving and departing from the airport will operate from Terminal 2, while international (regional) flights will continue to operate from Terminal 1. The new terminal building is located north of the existing terminal building, with a total investment of approximately 3.096 billion yuan. The newly built terminal building covers an area of 100,600 square meters and is equipped with 15 security checkpoints and 17 boarding bridges, capable of handling a maximum annual passenger throughput of 12 million. The opening of the new terminal building represents a comprehensive leap in service capacity, laying a crucial foundation for the construction of a regional aviation hub.
