Although the recruitment process has been strengthened, competition for positions remains fierce. In the first round of recruitment this year, more than 35,000 applicants competed for the same position. Delta executives said the company can't wait to grow its team of highly skilled, highly educated professionals who bring the Delta spirit to every flight.
Since 2021, Delta has hired 25,000 new employees across its operations, including about 2,400 pilots, bringing its total workforce to more than 80,000.
