Civil Aviation Resources Network, February 19, 2025: According to foreign media reports, on February 16, local time, a Thai Airways flight took off from Bangkok and the pilot found cracks in the cockpit window. The flight then returned to Bangkok urgently, and no one was injured.

It is reported that the flight involved was Thai Airways flight TG401, which was originally scheduled to fly from Bangkok to Singapore, operated by an A330-300, with a total of 270 passengers on board.

According to reports, during the flight, the pilot found cracks in the outermost layer of glass of the window on the left rear of the cockpit. For safety reasons, the pilot decided to return, and the flight finally landed safely at Bangkok Airport at around 10 pm.

Thai Airways said that the TG401 flight from Bangkok to Singapore on the 16th decided to return to Suvarnabhumi Airport for safety reasons because the pilot found cracks in the outer layer of the cockpit window. The company always regards flight safety as the first principle and deeply apologizes to the affected passengers. At the same time, it has quickly arranged alternative flights to minimize the inconvenience of passengers.
