On November 1, at the 230th Session of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Liang Junrong, a member of the Air Navigation Committee of China, was appointed as the sole candidate and Chairman of the Committee, with a term from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024.
Liang Junrong was nominated by my country and appointed by the ICAO Council as a member of the Air Navigation Committee in September 2018. He served as the Second Vice-Chairman of the Air Navigation Committee from July 2020 to December 2021, and has served as the First Vice-Chairman of the Air Navigation Committee since January 2022.
