On December 24, Jieyang Chaoshan International Airport's annual passenger throughput exceeded 10 million, successfully joining the "10 million passenger club" after Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport, and Zhuhai Jinwan Airport. This signifies that Guangdong Province has become the first province in China to have four airports handling over 10 million passengers annually.
In 2025, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport achieved a total passenger throughput of 66.4852 million, a year-on-year increase of 8.15%. In terms of cargo, Shenzhen Airport's annual cargo and mail throughput exceeded 2 million tons for the first time, becoming the third airport in mainland China to surpass this milestone. Furthermore, Shenzhen Airport's international and regional cargo and mail throughput also exceeded 1 million tons, making it the third airport in mainland China to achieve an annual import and export cargo volume exceeding one million tons.
On November 29th, Shenzhen Airport's third runway officially commenced operation, fully entering the "three-runway era."
In 2025, Zhuhai Jinwan Airport achieved a leapfrog growth in transportation production, with a passenger throughput of 13.25 million, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%, setting a new historical record for annual passenger throughput.
