On November 20, 2025, Civil Aviation Resource Network reported that, according to US media reports, on the evening of November 18 local time, a United Airlines plane flying from Houston to Cleveland Hopkins Airport collided with another aircraft while preparing to taxi.
A passenger stated that all passengers in the back of the plane felt the minor impact. Other passengers saw a small piece of the wing detach.

Photos taken by passengers appear to show that the wingtips of the aircraft are damaged and missing.
United Airlines has confirmed that its UA-544 flight from Houston to Cleveland made contact with UA-2451, which had come to a stop after pushing back from the gate. Both aircraft returned to the gate, and all passengers disembarked and were transferred to other flights. No injuries were reported.
UA-544, bound for Cleveland, carried 101 passengers and 6 crew members. UA-2451, en route to Orlando, carried 73 passengers and 6 crew members.
