Civil Aviation Resources Network, June 26, 2024: According to Travel and Tour World, Wizz Air recently reminded passengers to be wary of excessive charges by online travel agents (OTA).
The company recommends passengers to avoid buying tickets through OTA as some OTA platforms have reportedly significantly raised the prices of tickets, baggage and additional service fees.
According to price comparisons with multiple OTA platforms such as Kiwi and eDreams, some OTA platforms may increase costs by up to 145%. For example, on the eDreams platform, the base fare has increased by 45%, and the additional charge for 20 kg of checked luggage has increased by 66%. Similarly, on the Kiwi platform, the cost of 20 kg of luggage has increased by 83%.
