How to distinguish between day and night in aviation obstruction lights

Aviation obstruction lights are in accordance with aviation obstruction light specifications, which need to be based on the intensity of the ambient light where the obstruction lights are installed, so as to automatically switch the working state of the lamps. For example, low-intensity aviation obstruction lights will automatically turn off during the day, or at night. When the intensity is weak, the constant light and medium intensity B-type aviation obstruction lights also automatically turn off the lamps during the day. The flashing work will only be carried out when the light intensity is weak. The medium-intensity A-type aviation obstruction lights and high-intensity aviation obstruction lights require 24 hours. It is all day, but the effective luminous intensity of the lamp needs to be adjusted automatically by changing the surrounding light intensity.

The realization of the above functions is determined by the built-in light control probe (photosensitive probe) of the aviation obstruction light itself. Aviation obstruction lights are equipped with light control probes. Except for the auxiliary lights, other lamps need to be equipped with light control probes to adjust the working status of the lamps by feeling the surrounding light intensity. The auxiliary light does not need a light control probe, because the auxiliary light is directly controlled through the aviation obstruction light control box (aviation obstruction light controller), and the aviation obstruction light control box/aviation obstruction light controller itself comes with Light control probe.

The light control probe of the aviation obstruction light has a great influence on the daily normal work of the obstruction light. The correct installation of aviation obstruction lights requires calibration of the position of the aviation obstruction light control probe. The light control probe must not be blocked or face a dark place. The light control probe should be exposed to the normal light environment. After the aviation obstruction lights are installed and the lamps are normally energized, the black electrical tape for the aviation obstruction light control probe needs to be removed.
