Wind vane light
The elevated helipad must be equipped with at least one night-time luminous wind vane light. The wind direction indicator should be able to clearly indicate the condition of the wind above it, without being affected by the buildings next to the helipad or the downdraft (downward airflow) of the helicopter. The indicator can be seen from any direction. The length and height of the wind vane should meet the requirements of the Civil Aviation Administration of China and regulations
Heliport beacon
In the following cases, the heliport should be equipped with heliport lights:
--- Long-distance visual guidance is required, but no other visual method can provide;
———The identification of the heliport is difficult due to the surrounding lights.
Approach lighting system
When it is necessary to indicate the main approach direction to the pilot and conditions permit, the approach light system should be set up.
Flight path alignment guide light system
When it is necessary to indicate the direction of the flight path and conditions permit, the flight path alignment guide light system should be set up.
Visual orientation guidance system
In one or several of the following situations (especially when the heliport needs to be used at night), the heliport should be set up for visual orientation
Boot the system:
--- Obstacle clearance, noise reduction or traffic control procedures require the helicopter to approach in a specific direction;
--- There are few visual ground signals that the helicopter site can provide;
———The approach lighting system cannot be set.
Visual approach slope indicator system
In one or several of the following situations (especially when the heliport needs to be used at night), the heliport should be equipped with a visual approach and slope indication system
Flood lighting for hovering operation area
The hovering operation area for night use should be provided with floodlighting of the hovering operation area
Taxiway centerline lights or side lights
The helicopter ground taxiway for night use should be equipped with taxiway centerline lights or side lights, but ground lighting or other methods can already be used.
It is not necessary to provide sufficient guidance. The settings of the centerline lights and side lights of the helicopter ground taxiway should comply with the "Civil Airport Flight Zone"
"Technical Standards" (MH 5001) stipulate the relevant provisions of taxiway centerline lights or side lights.
Obstacle signs and lighting
The signs and lighting of obstacles in the heliport and hovering operation area shall comply with the "Technical Standards for Civil Airport Flight Areas"
(MH 5001) The relevant regulations on obstacle signs and lighting.
Obstacle floodlighting
For heliports used at night, if obstruction lights cannot be installed on obstacles, the obstacles should be floodlighted. barrier
Obstacle flood lighting should illuminate the entire obstacle, and try not to make the pilot feel dazzling. The brightness of the obstacle floodlighting should not be small
At 10 cd/m2.
