On June 25, 2026, Civil Aviation Resource Network reported that a Boeing 777-200LRMF freighter was seen making an extremely low-altitude flyby on the runway of Horseshoe Bend Resort Airport in Texas, USA, almost skimming the runway surface.

Video footage shows a Qatar Airways-painted 777 aircraft skimming the runway surface with its landing gear not deployed.
Flightradar24 data shows that the aircraft, with a 25-foot increment relative to mean sea level at standard atmospheric pressure, reported a minimum altitude of 950 feet above the runway. Adjusted for local pressure and airport altitude, its altitude was approximately 0.
The Boeing 777-200LRMF freighter, registration number N705DN, was en route from Perugia Airport, Indiana, to Union Airport in Fort Worth, Texas, and ultimately arrived safely.
The reason for the pilot's dangerous maneuver remains unclear.
The aircraft, currently owned by Mammoth Freighters, is about to be delivered to Qatar Airways Cargo.
In May 2025, Qatar Airways Cargo signed a lease agreement with Mammoth Freighters for five 777-200LRMF freighters, becoming the launch customer for this type of passenger-to-freighter conversion. N705DN is the first aircraft.
This 777-200LR aircraft was originally operated by Delta Air Lines and was converted into a freighter by Mammoth Freighters after its retirement.
