According to the Public Security Police Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region Government, a total of more than 2.65 million people entered and exited Macau during the May Day holiday, an increase of 49% over the same period last year, reaching 91% of the figure in 2019 before the epidemic.
In terms of tourists visiting Macao, a total of 490,000 inbound tourists were recorded in 5 days, an increase of 261% over the same period last year, reaching 68% of 2019 before the epidemic. Visitors to Macao were mainly from the Mainland, with a total of 380,000 arrivals, accounting for 76%, followed by visitors from Hong Kong and Taiwan, with 90,000 and 5,000 visits respectively.

This May Day holiday broke the single-day record of all ports in Macao since the epidemic. On April 30, the number of inbound tourists reached 134,000, and the total number of entries and exits in Macao reached 574,000.
