On April 8th local time, an Air France Boeing 777-300 aborted takeoff at Los Angeles International Airport after encountering a runway incursion.

Air France flight AF25 was cleared to take off from runway 24L at Los Angeles Airport. While accelerating to 60 knots, the crew noticed the runway warning lights turn red, indicating a runway incursion. The crew immediately aborted takeoff and safely decelerated before leaving the runway.

It is understood that a Gulfstream aircraft that had previously landed crossed the runway, triggering the warning system.

The Air France flight waited outside the runway for 10 minutes before returning to the runway and taking off as scheduled at its destination, Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
