American Airlines has partnered with the renowned Pecan Lodge restaurant chain to offer Texas-style barbecue on select flights.
Since its founding in 2010, Pecan Lodge has garnered recognition from prominent media outlets such as the Food Network, The New York Times, and Travel + Leisure for its traditional Central Texas-style barbecue.
Starting in February, American Airlines flights from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport to LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy International Airports in New York will offer First Class passengers a Pecan Lodge barbecue platter, featuring smoked brisket and smoked sausage, served with creamy macaroni and cheese and a refreshing coleslaw salad.
Starting in March, American Airlines will introduce a shredded smoked brisket sandwich with roasted green beans and a creamy potato salad. Both dishes will be served with Pecan Lodge's signature barbecue sauce.
This service is by reservation only, and passengers can book through the US website or app starting January 11.
