ARJ21 and C919 perform first dual-aircraft formation flight

On November 2, 2024, at the opening ceremony of the 2024 China Aviation Industry Conference and Nanchang Flight Conference, an ARJ21 and a C919 aircraft of COMAC took off one after another, and carried out flight performances such as formation assembly, coordinated flight, coordinated turning, and low-altitude pass-through under the blue sky. This is the first dual-aircraft formation flight performance of ARJ21 and C919 aircraft, which concentratedly demonstrated the good flight performance of the two aircraft and added a unique "COMAC" color to the flight conference.
Afterwards, the ARJ21 aircraft landed first, and the C919 aircraft continued to perform single-aircraft flight performances such as low-altitude pass-through and large pitch angle climb. During the flight conference, the two aircraft will also be displayed statically on the ground.
In the indoor exhibition area, COMAC displayed to the public 1:20 scale C919 and C929 basic aircraft models, 1:20 scale ARJ21 aircraft model in Jiangxi Aviation livery, as well as 1:32 scale ARJ21 business jet, medical aircraft, emergency rescue command aircraft, fire extinguisher, cargo plane, and C919 shortened/high-altitude and extended series aircraft models.
So far, a total of 150 ARJ21 aircraft have been delivered, more than 600 routes have been opened, more than 150 cities have been connected, and more than 17 million passengers have been safely carried. A total of 11 C919 aircraft have been delivered, 9 routes have been opened, 7 cities have been connected, and 700,000 passengers have been safely carried. The serial development of the two aircraft is progressing steadily.
