The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) announced that it will install CT scanning security equipment at several Canadian airports in the next few years to improve aviation safety and passenger experience.
CT technology uses advanced three-dimensional rotatable images to improve the ability of security personnel to identify threats such as explosives, so that passengers do not need to take liquids, electronic products, etc. out of their carry-on luggage for inspection during security checks.
Vancouver International Airport was the first to install CT scanning security equipment, and will gradually expand it to other airports.
