On October 28, China Southern Airlines (hereinafter referred to as "China Southern") held a promotional event for its international routes for the 2026 winter-spring season at Chimelong, Qingyuan. Centered on the theme "New Journeys in the Winter-Spring Season, Discovering New Worlds," the event highlighted both recent and upcoming international route launches and frequency increases planned for the new winter-spring season.
During the event, China Southern outlined its expansion strategy for international routes. On October 12, the airline launched the Guangzhou–Changsha–Addis Ababa route-currently the only service operated by a Chinese carrier to Ethiopia. This new air link strengthens the connection between South China and East Africa, providing a significant boost to deep cooperation and exchange between China and Africa across sectors such as economy, trade, culture, and tourism. Furthermore, the resumption of the Guangzhou–Delhi route in September, along with the upcoming launch of the Guangzhou–Jeju Island route for the winter-spring season, further refines China Southern's network across South Asia and Northeast Asia, serving as an efficient and convenient aerial bridge for regional economic, trade, and cultural exchanges. In addition, China Southern will increase the frequency of its international services from Guangzhou to destinations including Perth, Auckland, Christchurch, Sydney, Melbourne, and Vancouver. This expansion of the route network not only offers travelers a wider range of options but also enables China Southern to better support the nation's high-level opening-up and the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road Initiative."

From the rich aroma of coffee in Addis Ababa to the vibrant cultural tapestry of Delhi, and from the warm sunshine of Jeju Island to the pristine landscapes of Western Australia, China Southern Airlines is expanding its "Winter-Spring" flight network-offering more routes and increased flight frequencies-to destinations across the globe. Looking ahead, the airline remains committed to supporting the development of Guangzhou as an international aviation hub and fostering high-level opening-up within the Greater Bay Area, while building an even broader and more seamless "Air Silk Road" for travelers worldwide.
