According to the Wall Street Journal, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is considering a permanent ban on helicopter flights at Washington's Reagan National Airport.
After the crash, U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy issued an order on January 31 that most helicopters are prohibited from entering parts of two routes near Reagan National Airport from now on, and only helicopters for police, medical and air defense purposes and presidential helicopters are allowed to fly. The ban will last at least until the National Transportation Safety Board releases its preliminary investigation report.
