According to Wuxi Transportation Group, the Wuxi Dingshu Airport Emergency Rescue Science Popularization and Skills Training Camp has been certified by the expert group of the China Disaster Prevention Association, becoming one of the first six pilot units nationwide. This camp integrates science popularization demonstrations, skills training, and practical drills, marking the official launch of Jiangsu Province's first aviation emergency rescue training platform.
Wuxi Dingshu Airport has approximately 314,000 square meters of outdoor training space and a comprehensive teaching building with a total area of approximately 29,800 square meters. It includes a multi-functional theoretical classroom that can accommodate 200 people (equipped with LED displays, sound systems, and whiteboards), and six group discussion rooms.
In terms of practical capabilities, the professional helicopter fleet of Wuyue General Aviation, a subsidiary of Wuxi Dingshu Airport, has been tested in numerous forest fire fighting and medical evacuation operations. It has participated in several important provincial and municipal emergency drills, including the Yixing Dongjiu Lake Island emergency rescue drill, the Shanghai Songjiang District extreme weather urban operation support comprehensive drill, the Jiangsu Province "Three Disruptions" emergency rescue drill rehearsal, the Wuxi People's Hospital air medical emergency rescue drill, the Wuxi forest fire air emergency rescue drill, and the "Shanghai-2025" air emergency rescue practical drill. It also successfully completed the full air medical support mission for the Yangshan Half Marathon, demonstrating its core strength in rapid response and efficient handling.
In terms of talent cultivation, Wuxi Dingshu Airport is collaborating with professional institutions to comprehensively introduce mature curriculum systems and training standards. It is offering targeted training courses tailored to the characteristics of natural disasters in southern Jiangsu and Jiangsu Province. These courses cover various levels of emergency rescue training regulated by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Education's 1+X certificate training, theoretical knowledge training for emergency rescue personnel from the Ministry of Emergency Management, specialized physical fitness and practical skills training in water rescue, earthquake and geological disaster rescue, mountain search and rescue, and forest fire rescue, as well as international first aid training from the Red Cross Society of China.
Currently, Jiangsu is making every effort to build a comprehensive "land, sea, and air" emergency rescue network. The "Wuxi Low-Altitude Economic Development Promotion Regulations," which will come into effect on October 1, 2025, also explicitly requires accelerating the construction of a low-altitude emergency monitoring and rescue system, providing legal guarantees and a clear path for the application of aviation emergency rescue.
