On May 14th, the second batch of civil aviation engineering projects for the Quzhou Kaihua Airport project passed final acceptance, marking a significant step closer to the airport's opening.

Quzhou Kaihua Airport is one of the 11 regional general aviation airports in Zhejiang Province. Built to A2-class general aviation airport standards, with a flight area rating of 2B, the airport represents a total investment of approximately 860 million yuan. It includes a newly constructed 800m x 30m runway, six fixed-wing aircraft parking positions, and six helicopter parking positions, along with supporting facilities such as a comprehensive building, hangars, special vehicle garages, a power center, and access roads.

As a key construction project in Zhejiang Province, Quzhou Kaihua Airport will improve the general aviation network in western Zhejiang, helping Kaihua integrate into the province's "one-hour air traffic circle" and becoming a crucial route point for cross-provincial general aviation operations and transfers between Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Anhui provinces. Furthermore, Quzhou Kaihua Airport has been designated as one of the province's ten aviation rescue standby bases.

Quzhou Kaihua Airport is scheduled to officially commence operations in June.
