Cathay Pacific CEO Lin Shaobo said at the scene that after the full resumption of personnel exchanges between Hong Kong and the mainland, the exchanges between the two places have become closer. As mainland tourists continue to increase, Cathay Pacific hopes to attract more outstanding mainland talents. It is expected that by 2025, the total number of mainland talents will reach approximately 4,000, including trainee pilots, cabin attendants, information technology personnel, customer service personnel, logistics personnel, etc.
Lin Shaobo continued that this year, Cathay Pacific launched the "Trainee Pilot Program" in the mainland for the first time, accepting applications from mainland residents to add talents to the industry; Cathay Pacific will also recruit ground staff from the mainland through the SAR government's "Greater Bay Area Imported Labor Program" personnel to work in Hong Kong.
He also said that it is expected that by 2025, the total number of Cathay Pacific flight attendants from the mainland will expand to 1,000 to 2,000. The Cathay Pacific flight attendant team will have the largest proportion of Hong Kong employees, the second largest proportion of mainland employees, and the second largest proportion of employees from other Asian countries and regions. The staff structure is higher than that of the third party, forming a diverse, enthusiastic and world-class service team.
On that day, more than 100 candidates who had passed the preliminary selection came for interviews. There are sessions such as "More and Language Test", "Group Discussion" and "One-to-One Interview" on site.
It is understood that after passing the interview, mainland flight attendants will receive training in Hong Kong and use Hong Kong as their work base, with the same salary and benefits as other employees. As long as the commuting time between their place of residence and Hong Kong International Airport is less than 90 minutes, mainland flight attendants can choose to live in any city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area; if they choose to live in Hong Kong, the company will provide certain subsidies.
