On October 31, 2024, China Eastern Airlines received its first Airbus A321neo aircraft. The aircraft, with the aircraft number B-32HX, is powered by the Leap-1A engine provided by CFM International and features the new Airbus "Airspace" interior, with 12 business class seats and 186 economy class seats.
The aircraft arrived at Shanghai Pudong International Airport on October 28, Beijing time. After the aircraft is added to the fleet, China Eastern Airlines will operate more than 450 Airbus aircraft, including 377 A320 series aircraft, 56 A330 series aircraft and 20 A350-900 aircraft.
It is understood that the Airbus A321neo aircraft is the largest member of the A320neo series, with excellent range and performance. Thanks to the application of new-generation engines and sharklet wings, the A321neo's noise footprint can be reduced by 50% compared with the previous generation of single-aisle aircraft, and fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions are also effectively reduced. At the same time, the wider cabin in the single-aisle aircraft provides better comfort for passengers.
