China Southern Airlines (hereinafter referred to as "China Southern") plans to officially resume scheduled passenger flights between Guangzhou and New Delhi, India, starting September 21. This marks the restart of the airline's India routes after a six-year suspension. With the resumption of the Guangzhou-New Delhi service, China Southern will operate over 100 weekly flights (counting a round trip as two flights) across eight routes connecting to South Asia, continuing to offer travelers a diverse range of travel options.
The Guangzhou-New Delhi route will be operated by Boeing 737 series aircraft, with a planned frequency of one flight per day (subject to actual availability via official sales channels). The outbound flight, CZ359, departs from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 15:35 (local time, same below) and arrives at New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport at 19:00. The return flight, CZ360, departs from New Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport at 20:20 and arrives at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 04:15 the following day.
New Delhi, the capital of the Republic of India, is located in the north of the country and is home to world-renowned landmarks such as the Taj Mahal, the Red Fort, and India Gate, attracting a vast number of tourists. The resumption of this route will facilitate bilateral trade between China and India and provide great convenience for tourists and international students. Additionally, it will enable more convenient and efficient transfers for travelers. Leveraging China Southern's Guangzhou hub, passengers arriving from New Delhi can connect to popular international and domestic destinations such as Melbourne, Sydney, Manila, Tokyo, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Yiwu, and Sanya.
Prior to this, China Southern was already operating routes in the South Asia region connecting Guangzhou to Dhaka, Kathmandu, Lahore, and Islamabad, as well as routes connecting Beijing Daxing to Dhaka, and Urumqi to Islamabad and Kashgar-Islamabad. Tickets for China Southern Airlines' Guangzhou–New Delhi route are now available for purchase; passengers can visit the airline's official website, mobile app, or WeChat mini-program to view flight details and promotional offers.
