Delta fleet updates radio altimeters to address 5G interference
According to Reuters, Delta Air Lines said it has updated and upgraded the radio altimeters on its active fleet to address potential 5G C-band interference issues.
U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg warned in June that if airlines did not update their equipment by July 1, their operations in bad weather would be restricted. Delta Air Lines has about 190 aircraft that have not been upgraded before July 1, including its entire Airbus A220 fleet.

Delta Air Lines stated that all aircraft currently in service have been updated, and several aircraft that have been out of service due to scheduled maintenance plans will be equipped with radio altimeters that comply with 5G standards after they resume operations.
