Civil Aviation Resources Network, September 30, 2024: According to Simpleflying, on September 29, local time, there was an equipment failure at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU), which affected various systems at the airport. Airport officials confirmed that the problem is under investigation and airport employees are manually handling customers while seeking to resolve the problem. As of 5 pm local time, more than 60 flights have been delayed.
In the afternoon of the same day, the airport authorities issued a statement saying: "Due to equipment failure affecting the operation of the terminal, parking facilities and internal telephone systems, the systems at Raleigh-Durham International Airport are gradually resuming operations, and airport staff are manually assisting passengers."

According to the airport's latest statement, all major systems affected by the equipment failure (including the parking system) have now been restored and are operating normally.
