According to foreign media reports, Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways jointly issued a measure to deal with "passenger harassment" at the end of June, aiming to prevent employees from leaving due to harassment by passengers.
The measure divides passenger harassment into nine categories and provides anti-harassment training for employees. Employees can judge which category the other party's behavior belongs to according to the training manual and respond immediately. Among them, voyeurism, stalking and indecent behavior are also included in the list of harassment behaviors.
Japan Airlines said that the company will not tolerate "any insults, attacks or harassment, because we believe that these behaviors will cause harm to our employees and will take corresponding actions to protect the safety of employees." All Nippon Airways also said that it hopes to ensure that the human rights of employees and customers are respected.
The new regulations of the two airlines indicate that passengers with problematic behaviors will be warned and may be denied boarding, and call local government departments to deal with the situation.
