Moscow's largest airport has strengthened security measures and currently operates normal services
On March 23, local time, the official social media account of Sheremetyevo International Airport, the largest airport in Moscow, Russia, announced that the airport continued to operate under enhanced security measures implemented in cooperation with the police. Passenger and freight services are operating as planned.
According to sources, departures and arrivals of Russian and foreign airlines are proceeding as planned. Departing passengers are advised to arrive at the airport early and strictly adhere to all prescribed measures when passing through checkpoints. Passengers are requested not to bring prohibited items and items similar to weapons and ammunition on board, be more vigilant, and assist airport staff when checking in.
Sheremetyevo International Airport is located in the northwest of Moscow. Compared with the other three airports around Moscow, it is relatively close to the Moscow State Concert Hall where the terrorist attack occurred on the evening of the 22nd.
