At about 12:00 on September 8, flight HU7482 from Beijing to Haikou landed smoothly at Haikou Meilan International Airport (hereinafter referred to as Meilan Airport) under Hainan Holdings, marking the orderly resumption of flight operations at Meilan Airport, which was temporarily closed due to the typhoon "Makar". In the initial stage, all inbound and outbound flights will use Terminal 1 for support. Passengers with flight plans are requested to pay attention to flight dynamics and terminal information in a timely manner and make reasonable itinerary arrangements.
Affected by this super typhoon, Meilan Airport was severely affected. In order to do a good job in post-disaster reconstruction, after the typhoon, Meilan Airport took quick action and issued the "Proposal for Flood Prevention, Wind Prevention, Disaster Relief and Rescue to Party Organizations at All Levels and the Broad Masses of Party Members and Cadres at Meilan Airport" in accordance with the principle of "ensuring safety first and gradually and orderly recovery", and formed a volunteer commando team for resumption of work and production. The majority of party members and cadres took the initiative to show their identities and set an example, further playing the role of the grassroots party organization as a fighting fortress and the vanguard and exemplary role of party members and cadres.
In terms of ensuring smooth traffic, in addition to the more than 6,000 people on duty and on standby from Meilan Airport's various departments and outsourced units such as Hainan Property Management and Jingdun Security, a joint operation recovery assault team was set up with Meilan Border Inspection, Airport Public Security and other on-site units to carry out repairs to damaged points in the airfield and terminal, as well as tree support, pollution removal, water clearing and obstacle removal, and other work to open the road overnight. In addition, under the overall coordination of Hainan Holdings, four units including Haikong Energy Construction, Haikong Construction, Haikong Real Estate and Hainan Development provided 100 repair personnel, as well as cranes, cranes, aerial work vehicles and other facilities and equipment to fully assist Meilan Airport in carrying out temporary fence construction, cargo terminal canopy removal, curtain wall repair and other work.

In terms of ensuring power supply, Meilan Airport actively coordinated with the Southern Power Grid Company to arrange mobile diesel generators to arrive at the airport in batches for support, and combined with its own diesel generators, UPS (uninterruptible power supply) and other means to ensure that emergency power supply can meet the basic support needs of the terminal and airfield. In terms of ensuring smooth communication, Meilan Airport communicated and coordinated with the three major operators to carry out on-site repairs to ensure that the core guarantee systems for production and operation, such as the off-duty system and the security information system, are applicable.
At the same time, in order to ensure that the on-site guarantee and operation are safe and orderly after the flight operation is resumed, Meilan Airport has drafted the "Self-check List for Post-disaster Recovery Operation Guarantee Capability" and the "Flight Operation Recovery Service Guarantee Check List", focusing on the invisible risks in the passenger guarantee process and the secondary risks under abnormal operation, and corresponding risk control measures have been formulated. Post-disaster flight operation recovery drills have been organized, and actual combat drills have been conducted on passenger touch points such as check-in and security checks to fully verify the applicability of the passenger service guarantee process.
Next, Meilan Airport will actively cooperate with air traffic control, airlines and other units, strictly implement the relevant regulations of the Civil Aviation Administration, and speed up the resumption of flight operations in combination with the repair of facilities and equipment. Warm reminder: Due to the influence of typhoon weather, there may be differences between the flight plan and the actual implementation. Please pay close attention to the dynamics of the flight you are taking and arrange your travel plans reasonably. (Correspondents: Huang Yuguang, Liu Zequn)
