Thai Airways: The passenger load factor of flights from China to Thailand exceeds 90%
On October 2, Thai Airways International stated that after Thailand announced a five-month visa exemption for Chinese tourists, the passenger load factor of flights from China exceeded 90%.
Korakot Chatasingha, chief commercial officer of Thai Airways, said: "Passenger traffic from China to Thailand has increased significantly."
Thailand is counting on Chinese tourists to lead a recovery in consumption, and Suvarnabhumi International Airport, Bangkok's busiest airport, just opened a new terminal last week.

Thai Airways said last month that it plans to increase flights to five cities in China from 49 to 56 per week starting from December 1.
Korakot said that in the first eight months of 2023, the number of arrivals from China was still only about 50% of what it was before the epidemic. Thai Airways is evaluating whether to return China flight volume to pre-epidemic levels.
