According to the Civil Aviation Resources Network on December 4, 2024: According to the "Consular Express", the Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Solomon Islands on Mutual Exemption of Visas for Citizens Holding Ordinary Passports will take effect on December 28, 2024.

According to the agreement, citizens holding valid ordinary passports of China or Solomon Islands, who enter, exit or transit through the other contracting party, are exempt from visas for a single stay of no more than 30 days and a cumulative stay of no more than 90 days in every 180 days. If you need to stay in the territory of the other contracting party for more than 30 days, or a cumulative stay of more than 90 days in every 180 days, or engage in work, study, settlement, news reporting and other activities in the territory of the other contracting party that require prior approval from the competent authorities of the other contracting party, you should apply for the corresponding visa before entering the other contracting party. If you cannot leave the country within the visa-free stay period specified in the agreement due to force majeure, you should apply to the local competent authority for an extension of the stay period with relevant supporting documents.

The governments of China and Solomon Islands signed the "Agreement on Mutual Exemption of Visas for Holders of Diplomatic, Official, Service and Ordinary Passports for Public Service" in 2022. Holders of relevant passports from both sides can enter the other country visa-free and stay for no more than 30 days.
